Our floatation tank

In our float studio, we use an Oasis Relaxation System.  The inside of our tank measures 7.5′ long, 4′ wide and almost 3.5′ high.  We fill it with 10'' of water and 800+ lbs of USP (United States Pharmeceutical) grade Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate).  This very dense saline solution is cycled through a pressurized filtration system removes particulate matter while an ultraviolet purification unit removes smaller contaminants.  As an added sanitation measure, we use 3.5% hydrogen peroxide after each float.  The water is heated to skin temperature, 93.5 degrees Fahrenheit.  Four underwater transducers create an auditory experience like no other.  After you've mastered floating in the void, you may want to experiment floating with binaural beats, relaxation sounds, or learning recordings.  The tank, while designed for deprivation can also be a great tool for more focused tasks such as studying for an exam, self-hypnosis, or learning a foreign language.
